Terms of Use

Plain-English summary, which does not replace the terms below: your notes and recordings are yours. Writing, the teleprompter, recording and the speech coach are free, with three saved takes per note. The AI features and unlimited takes come with SoriSpeak Plus, which is US$14.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. Only clone a voice you have the right to clone. Cancel any time in your device's subscription settings.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of SoriSpeak, provided by SoriStory LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using SoriSpeak, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SoriSpeak helps you prepare and rehearse things you are about to say out loud. It provides a note wall, AI assistance that turns your notes into spoken scripts, a scrolling teleprompter, video recording with captions, an AI conversation partner for practising interviews and calls, on-device speech feedback, and an optional cloned voice for narration previews.

SoriSpeak is a preparation tool. It does not guarantee any outcome in an interview, audition, negotiation, publication, or any other real-world situation you use it to prepare for.

3. Your Account

SoriSpeak creates an anonymous account for your device so that usage limits and entitlements can be applied. You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google to enable sync across your devices. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

4. Your Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of everything you create in SoriSpeak — your notes, scripts, video and audio recordings, and voice samples ("Your Content").

4.2 Licence to us

By using features that send content to our servers, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process and store Your Content solely to provide the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

4.3 AI output

Scripts, hooks, publish copy, coaching notes and conversation replies are produced by AI systems from your inputs. You are free to use that output, including commercially — it is written from your own words and is intended for you to perform and publish.

AI output can be wrong, generic, or unsuitable. Read anything the AI produces before you say it, film it, or publish it. You remain responsible for what you ultimately say and post.

4.4 Recording other people

If you record another person with SoriSpeak, you are responsible for obtaining whatever consent the law where you are requires, and for how that recording is used.

5. Voice Cloning

If you create a cloned voice, you represent and warrant that:

You are the owner of the voice being cloned, or you have explicit consent from the voice owner
You will not use a cloned voice to impersonate anyone, or for any deceptive, fraudulent or harmful purpose
You authorise us and our voice provider to process your voice samples in order to create, maintain and re-create your cloned voice while the feature is enabled

Deleting your cloned voice in the app removes it from our voice provider as well. Deleting your account removes it as part of that process.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, including through a cloned voice
Generate content that is harassing, defamatory, or unlawful
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models behind the Service
Circumvent usage limits, entitlement checks, or other access controls
Use the Service to generate spam, phishing, or malicious content
Resell or redistribute access to the Service

7. Subscriptions and Payments

7.1 What is free

Writing notes, the teleprompter, recording, playback, caption export and the on-device speech coach are free, are not metered, and do not require an account. A free wall keeps up to 25 notes, and a free note keeps up to three saved takes; both are limits on what is kept, and nothing you have already made is removed when you reach one. The AI features — the four openers written from your own note, hearing your script performed, your own cloned voice, burned-in captions, post copy, the read on how your message landed, and the practice call beyond its first five minutes — are not included in the free tier; the app shows a labelled example of each instead.

7.2 SoriSpeak Plus

SoriSpeak Plus costs US$14.99 per month and begins with a 7-day free trial. It is an auto-renewable subscription. It unlocks the AI features listed above, unlimited saved takes per note, voice cloning and cloud backup. Prices in other currencies are set by the App Store and Google Play for your region, and the price, billing period and trial are shown in the app and confirmed by the store at the point of sale; those store-presented terms govern your purchase.

7.3 Billing and cancellation

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage or cancel at any time in Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions
We do not send our own renewal reminders; Apple and Google notify you about your subscription under their own policies, and both show the renewal date in their subscription settings
The free trial converts to a paid month automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their policies

8. Intellectual Property

The SoriSpeak name, logo, and all related trademarks, designs, and intellectual property are owned by SoriStory LLC. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoriStory LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination and Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your cloud data, your cloned voice at our voice provider, your entitlement record, and your sign-in. It cannot be undone, and Recently Deleted does not survive it.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
